The Briggs & Stratton 071212 Transfer Switch is a 100 Amp, 16-circuit automatic transfer switch designed for residential standby generator systems. It manages the safe transfer of electrical loads between utility power and a compatible standby generator during outages, then automatically returns the system to utility power once service is restored.

This model is built for load-side (non-service entrance) applications and is intended for use with compatible Briggs & Stratton generators and control systems. It comes in a NEMA 3R weather-resistant enclosure, making it suitable for indoor or outdoor installation. This unit is also designed for systems installed after 2019 and is not compatible with pre-2019 models. It does not include breakers or whip. It is backed by a 5-year limited warranty.
